ADDICTIONS STIGMAS Gone: Families CELEBRATE is a beacon of hope and support for individuals and families impacted by addiction. Our ministry is committed to eradicating the stigmas surrounding addiction, with a particular focus on alcohol or substance use disorders (AUD or SUD). Established with the primary goal of providing early intervention and support, we aim to prevent disease progression and untimely deaths. The ministry was founded in 2019 by Phyllis Mullaney, driven by the urgent need to address the lack of understanding and resources available for those dealing with alcoholism and substance use disorders. Our mission is to challenge negative attitudes and stereotypes that contribute to the stigma associated with AUD or SUD, creating a nurturing environment that fosters empathy, understanding, and effective intervention. We recognize the impact of stigmatization on both individuals and their families, and we are dedicated to providing a lifeline for those affected, offering a safe space for healing, understanding, and access to vital support networks.
